School is out for the summer so join us to unleash your creativity, sharpen your improv skills and learn engaging and fun improv games throughout the summer. Whether you're a beginner looking to dive into the world of improv or an experienced performer seeking to refine your skills, we have an option for you.

Our camps are for youth from 8 to 18 years old.  Select the camps you want and in the signup form just write in the names and ages of everyone participating. We will then place students in the age-appropriate camp for that week.

The more camps within which you enroll, the bigger the discount.

Improv Summer Camp! 
July 15th-19th
9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Our first full-day camp.

Discover the essential of improvisation, creative thinking, and scene building! Join us for our where we will delve into the basics of improv and provide you with the tools to craft scenes spontaneously.

As a full-day camp, we will dive deeper into the art of improv. In addition to mastering the fundamentals, you'll discover various forms of improvisation, including different type of games, movement, and performance techniques. This improv camp is great for honing your improv skills and applying them on stage and in everyday life!

Students signed up for the full day camp will need to bring their lunch. We have a refrigerator where we can store it if that is needed. 

Fun with Improv
July 29th-Aug 2nd.
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Unlock the secrets of creating your own games and improv formats using the core tools and principles of improvisation. This week-long camp is designed to help you break out of your comfort zone and explore the creativity of improv games!


Sketch Camp 
Aug 12th-16th. 
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

At sketch camp, you'll discover how to apply improv fundamentals to write and craft engaging sketches. Throughout this program, you'll explore techniques for heightening scenes, developing characters, and creating group sketches to share with family and friends! f
 
Once you enroll your student on this page, please complete this Google form for teens and this Google form for kids 8-12 years old. You need to complete this form only once for 2024 no matter how many classes or camps you enroll your child in throughout the year. You do need to complete a separate form for each child you are enrolling.  The only time you need to complete a new form is  if you need to change any information on it.

What should my child bring with them to camp?
  • Comfortable clothing: Bring clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in.
  • Appropriate shoes: Bring shoes that are comfortable for light physical activity like walking, jumping, moving, etc. 
  • Reusable water bottle: Staying hydrated is important during camp. Bring a reusable water bottle to refill throughout the day.
  • Snacks: Bring snacks so they have something to eat during a break.
  • Lunch: For full-day camps only, bring a lunch daily. We have a refrigerator where we can put anything that needs to be kept cold. 
  • Positive attitude: Bring a positive attitude and an open mind! You'll be learning and working hard, but remember to have fun and enjoy the experience.



Refund Policy
Students may cancel their course registration and request a full refund up to seven days prior to their course's start date. If students request a refund within three to six days before the course's start date, a 50% refund will be issued. Refund requests made after these cut-off times will not be issued. Please note, service fees are not refundable.

You may request a transfer to the next session of the same course. One transfer will be made. No refunds will be offered when a student transfers to another course. If the Blue Door Theatre/Spokane School of Improv cancels a course, refunds will be issued.
