Monthly Kids Jams

Our improv classes for 8- to 12-year-olds provide a unique opportunity for young minds to improv(e) their skills while having a blast. Our classes focus on creating an environment for building confidence, self-expression, and creativity. 

Come learn the building blocks of improvisational theater!  Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of improv and having fun with improv. Kids may be enrolled at any time.

Working together as a group, students will learn the basics of improv in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment by creating and telling stories through scene work. Improv builds communication skills, boosts self-confidence, and instills positive life skills.

Once you enroll your student on this page, please complete this Google form. You need to complete this form only once for 2024 no matter how many classes or camps you enroll your child in throughout the year. You do need to complete a separate form for each child you are enrolling.  The only time you need to complete a new form is  if you need to change any information on it. If your child was enrolled in 2023, a new form needs to be completed for 2024.

Note: Although this is a class, we have it listed as a show because it gives us more flexibility in pricing options to make the reservation process easier.

Refund policy for classes and camps.
Students may cancel their course registration and request a full refund up to seven days prior to their course's start date. If students request a refund within three to six days before the course's start date, a 50% refund will be issued. Refund requests made after these cut-off times will not be issued. Refunds are not available for specials such as buy 3, get the 4th one free. Please note, service fees are not refundable.

You may request a transfer to the next session of the same course. One transfer will be made. No refunds will be offered when a student transfers to another course. If the Blue Door Theatre/Spokane School of Improv cancels a course, refunds will be issued.
